Start by creating your account by simply logging in with Google, connect your YouTube to access your Creator Dashboard where you can view and select content you wish to verify copyright for, and then stamp your digital proof on-chain. 

Once that’s done, toggle the monetization option on to see if any investors are interested in purchasing partial ownership of your copyrights, and wait for the offers to roll in! If you don’t get any right away, don’t worry – just keep creating and try turning on auto-mint. The more content you create, the greater your asset portfolio becomes and in turn the more valuable your library is to prospective investors.

Once you create your Trips account and begin stamping your copyrights, you have the ability to opt in to share your asset portfolio with investors. By using Trips and stamping your copyright on-chain, you’re creating an asset we have named “TCI” which stands for Tokenized Copyright Interest. 

TCIs are tamper-proof digital files that store your copyrights on an immutable ledger, providing a clear record of content ownership and provenance. 

Specific metadata includes:

• Publication Date
• Content ID
• Content Type
• Nation of Publication

By minting on the blockchain using distributed ledger technology it is immutable. It cannot be removed. You can however cancel your Trips account at any time.

By minting, or stamping, a TCI on-chain, you create a digital record that serves as proof of ownership, asserting that your content is your asset. You don’t give up any control or rights by minting a TCI. Your content is still yours and you transfer no ownership of anything to Trips. A TCI is simply an additional step of recording and storing your copyright information, with further security and more innovative proof of ownership.
